Messages and your email list
Messages and email signups are the visitor-response desk. Messages come from the public contact form. Email signups come from visitors asking for updates.
Contact messages
- Open Messages.Go to Messages in the sidebar.
- Review sender details.Check name, email, subject, body, timestamp, and context.
- Choose follow-up.Reply from the appropriate email account or external workflow if direct reply is not built into the screen.
- Watch for spam or abuse.Do not send attachments, passwords, private links, or sensitive information to suspicious messages.
- Use status or notes when available.Mark handled messages if the screen supports it.
Email signups
- Open Email Signups.Go to Email Signups in the sidebar.
- Review the list.Check address, timestamp, source/context, and duplicates.
- Use signups respectfully.These are people asking for updates, not unrelated mail.
- Export or copy only when needed.Preserve consent context and remove stale/invalid addresses.
Testing the public forms
- Submit a test Contact message.Use an address you control.
- Confirm admin receipt.Check Messages in the sidebar.
- Submit a test email signup.Use the public signup form.
- Confirm signup receipt.Check Email Signups in the sidebar.
Good operating habits
- Respond while the trail is warm. Collector inquiries cool quickly.
- Keep private data private. Do not paste contact lists into public documents or screenshots.
- Separate inquiries from signups. Purchase questions, press inquiries, and mailing-list signups need different follow-up.
- Check after changing Contact content. Submit another test message.
